Question : DNS trouble install on 2nd DC
I just installed AD and Global Catalog on a brand new Second Server, this is the only other server in our network. Everything was working great when I went to add DNS. I was right in the middle of the wizard when I decided to cancel, research exactly what I wanted to input and try again later. When I went back, DNS showed as installed with all the Forward and Reverse Lookup Zones already there, even though I canceled the wizard.
So I thought maybe it's because active directory just threw some settings on. So when I tested the Simple Query it Passes, but it constantly fails the Recursive Query Test. I thought, maybe I could delete and start over but it gave me an error saying since it's Active Directory that it will delete it on the other controller. So need some help, my initial goal was to setup a secondary dns server for redundancy purposes, but now I I'm not too sure what it is set as since I never "Officially" finished the wizard.
Thanks
