Question : mysql fails to start after yum update

just run yum update on centos 5 and mysql will not start now

Answer : mysql fails to start after yum update

Ok. Please restore the original errmsg.sys.
#cp errmsg.sys.old errmsg.sys

Reboot your server and run mysqld again before proceeding the reinstallation of the mysql packages.
