Question : Connect two wireless networks with different SSID,. subnet configuration, IP class
I have 2 802.11 g networks, each with its own Access Point and SSID. Both networks do not share the same subnet configuration nor IP address class. I cannot change the subnet configuration nor IP address class on either of the networks. Is ther a way to wirelessly connect these two different wireless networks so each computer within network A can communicate with each computer on network B. I think in the wired network (LAN) world I could add and configure a router to do the trick. Do I need a wireless router or a wireless bridge ? Is there a wireless router (or bridge? or switch) that I can buy and configure to connect these two wireless networks without chnaging current SSID, Subnet, or IP configuration? I can replace one Access Points if needed but I cannot change the SSID, Subnet, or IP configuration configurations. Is there anything out there that can help? Thanks.

The wlan router you search should have two wifi-interfaces, as it must have two IP adresses in different networks - the dlink doesn't seem so... and it's obviously no standard. I would try the PC as a router with two WLAN cards Regards Holger
