Question : Problems with Backup and Memory use NW65SP5
|
|
Hi There!
I have a Netware 6.5SP5 Box running an SLR60 SCSI Tape drive which apparently backs up 28.8GB an hour. Its performing 31MB a MINUTE and I cannot determine why. Its connected to an Adaptec 2940 Controller.
Its a PIII 1033Mhz Proliant 310 series with 1.2GB Memory.
Anyone able to shed any light as to what might be causing the issue?
I also notice that of the 1280MB memory the server reports, NRM is saying that only 280MB is free after I unload Arcserve, apaches, java, and groupwise 7. NSS Cache is allocated 180MB and 460 for cache, is it possible to allocate less, say 350MB or something. Its only for 3 users most of the time.
Also NWMKDE is using like 175MB

Ach - I just noticed that the readme section was for AS11.1 SP1 - so if you've got that, you can do 64K blocks...
I wish I were going away for a couple of days - or weeks - or months ;)
