Question : GPS COM port settings on Acer F900 PDA
Does anyone know the hardware COM port and appropriate settings for accessing the built-in GPS device on an Acer F900 PDA? This is quite a new device, but neither downloadable user manual tells you anything. So, does anyone know which COM port the GPS is on, along with the baud rate, stop bits and so forth? It looks like there is something on COM3: and COM4: spewing out lots of data, but none of the baud rates I've tried (all the usual ones) give anything useful. I want the real hardware GPS port information rather than the Microsoft virtual port, that acts as a generic mapping onto whatever hardware your device has.
Thanks,
Nick.

I don't know the exact answer to your question, but if I were you, I'd checked the registry of the device under HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn where it can be listed. It won't give you the baudrate, but COM port.
