Question : lpd setup with hp jetdirect ex3 external print server

I am trying to setup my jetdirect ex3 to print using lpd. I have
tcp/ip up and running on my nt server 4.0 w/ sp 3. I have installed tcp print services on the server. I "route added" the default ip address of the ex 3 to the server routing table.
I do a "route print" and the address 192.0.0.192 is shown.
The dlc protocal works fine with the ex3. I followed the instructions from HP fax-back help. But when I ping 192.0.0.192 from the server the ping times out. The server
does have (2) ip addresses. One for the internal network,
and one from the ISP for access to the internet.I "route added" the 192.0.0.192 to the internal ip address. Any suggestions? Thanking you in advance

Answer : lpd setup with hp jetdirect ex3 external print server

Did you add the Jetdirect printer port to NT?
I think it's in HP Jetadmin for NT (free)

You can change the setup of the jetdirect box/card, ans the ip-adres.
