Question : Custom DNS pointer Record for external Server

Hi All

I have a Microsoft Server 2k8 with DHCP and DNS roles installed. I also have a custom Proxy server for my internet sharing from AllegroSurf.
Setting up the proxy settings on all the clients machines were fine but I have a problem with all my clients POP3 settings. Is it possible to create a A Host or pointer record for the external mail.server.com to my internal Proxy Server's IP address.
In a nutshell: I want my local DNS server to return a different IP for the mail.server.com URL to route the pop3 traffic through my proxy server.

To be honest, I think you are better off using a good proxy server instead of bandwidth throttling; have you tried Squid Proxy? (http://www.squid-cache.org/).
