Question : win98/winxp file and print sharing

I have a LAN with 3 computers, one win98se one winXP pro and one winXP home. my problem is that most of the time file and print sharing do not work between the win98 and winxp home computers. internet connection sharing is used with a modem on the win98 machiene and has no problems(tcp\ip works). file and print sharing work between the 2 win xp machienes and between the winxp pro and win 98 machienes without a problem.

probably because on the xp box, you have ZA setup with a trusted zone, and the machines are in that zone
set up ZA on the 98 box with a trusted zone (typically 192.168.0.0)
