Question : Home network, Windows XP server with two network cards, Windows XP wireless client

Hello everybody.

I have a problem I have seen in various incarnations in the various replies on this site, but no solution fitted exhaustively. Here it is:

At my home I have a server currently running Windows XP Sp1, and a client laptop running the same OS.
The server has two network cards, one connected to the internet and one plugged into a wireless access point. The client has a DLink wireless USB adapter. At one point I was able to ping and to connect to the laptop from the server, but I must have done some changes that have compromised that little success. However, I was never able to connect to the Internet from the laptop at any point.

Currently, from the server I can see the Internet connected to one card but not the access point connected to the other card. I thought the problem was the cable, but I can connect the access point (3com OfficeConnect 3CRWE45A72)  using the same cable through the laptop onboard ethernet card.

Can anyone help? I have printed some IPCONFIG and ROUTE PRINT from both the client and the server below.

I am not using any firewall software at this moment.

No they can't get private IP - the private IP is translated via NAt to the externel IP PLUS portnumber - this portnumber is the means, how the router can point the incoming packets back to the originating IP... so don't worry, your router is the only one who knows about your inrenal IP structure
