Question : User replication
|
|
Hi,
I have setup two sites: one is location1.vah.com , the other is location2.vah.com .
In location1.vah.com, I have setup users and scripts, etc. I want location2.vah.com to use the same users. The domains see each other and everything, but I don't know how to allow both sites to use the same list of users, so that any password changes or anything affect both. The only thing I can think of is having the users listed for vah.com so they are used by both, but I don't know how to do this as I don't have a specific vah.com domain I don't think. At least, I didn't set one up specificially. I'm trying to allow users at either location to access resources at either location, without having to use separate login's or whatever.
Let me know if you need clarification or questions.

How did the replication go? or did it at all? One problem might be that there is no link between the two locations. That can be set up in AD Sites. You can also force the replication in AD Sites. From location1 server, open AD sites, select location2, and in the details pane, right-click and select replicate now. If you need more, let me know.
I was wrong before about the 90 min replication over a wan, the default is 3 hours. You can manually set them to replicate more frequently though.
