Hi,
the SSL certificate you have on your server is the very common server certificate and it basically assures the authenticity of the server to clients.
While not as known, a second type of SSL certificate for clients, refered to as client certificate, also exists and it's purpose is to assure the authenticity of *clients* (or users) to the server. This certificate contains personal information about the user and identifies the SSL client (the sender) to the server.
I believe it is this second type of certificate that Quick Book is asking for.
As an example, here is a Microsoft knowledge base article on how to generate a client certificate: http://technet2.microsoft.com/windowsserver/en/library/052d2ea9-586c-4e33-9c56-ecc0c2b203be1033.mspx?mfr=true
Hope this helps! Gilad
