Hi experts,
I am using a rather old netware system which is Netware 4.11 server. I just got hareware failure and it was causing system crash. I found out that the Novell Directory Service corrupted and I can no longer logon the server with ADMIN password. I was trying to remove/reload the NDS from INSTALL.NLM menu, but it was unsuccessful since my password can not be authenticated.
I used ARCSERVE 6.1 Netware for data back up. But now I can not restore the data directly on to the Netware server itself, instead I can restore the data from another Windows server. BTW I can not access the Netware server from my client PC, there is no way to transfer the healthly data back on to the Netware server.
I would like to ask your help to fix this problem. In fact, I just want to copy all update data (before my last backup) from the server, then I shall be able to reinstall the server from the beginning.
My questions are:
1) How can I reset the ADMIN password at server console?
2) How can I remove the NDS without the need of entering the ADMIN password?
