Question : netware 6.0 server question

I have a netware 6.0 server at home in my lab. I wanted to load zen 6.5 on this server to start learing zen. I started the install and it said it needed sp5 so I applied it, then it said it neede java 1.4.1 so I installed this, and then I t said it need consoel1, so I installed thin on my machine then all of a sudden both my sys frive, and my vol1 were reporting the same data, I did a reboot of the server an dthe client, and everything came back, and all of a sudden I could not see the tree. now I can ping teh server from my desktop pure ipo inviroment, but anytime I try and do something on teh server it just sits there if I type monitor it says loading module monitor.nlm and does nothing else. I can still navigate screen. my client is 9.0 sp2 any ideas?

Try creating a HOSTS file on your PC in Windows\System32\Drivers\Etc - there is usually a HOSTS.SAM but it's a sample file that doesn't work with the .SAM extension. The HOSTS file has to have no extension.
The entry you should create is one for the tree. See my earlier comment.
Once the tree can be found (because the treename is in the HOSTS file with the IP address of the server) you should be able to see the tree in your client.
Re: your question about the login during the install - is this on the server console? You should log in using the admin ID, including the leading dot, as in:
