Question : Cached Logn Credentials

Hi,

Story of two computers: Both at users home, but added to the AD at corporate network.

One of the computers has been at home location for about a year and  the user can still successfully logon to the domain account. Inspite of no access to the domain controler. I know this has to do with Cached credentials, but here is the point....

I just bought another computer from the same corporate network to expand the network at home and the user cannot seem to log in to the domain account using the same credentials. It says... Domain controller for the account not found.

My questions:

1. Any idea why one computer logs the user in and the other does not?

2. Does Cached credentials work for a year? I thought it was only about 50 logins?

Thank you

Answer : Cached Logn Credentials

By default this is "not configured" and therefore unlimited, but perhaps someone has changed that since taking the first one home. Could you ever logon off the network?
