Question : IP Address issues on network, only computers given static IP can get out to internet

Hey All,

A quick background first: I recently replaced a server 2003 box with a new sbs2008. The sbs2008 became the DC and the old server 2003 just serves as an application server.

I am having some IP Address issues on a network. Only computers that I give a static IP address can get out to the internet. It also seems like the computes will only get out to the internet with a certain IP Address. DHCP is set up for a range of .15 - .100. It hands out IP address, gateway and subnet just fine however you can not get out to the internet.

There is a watchgaurd firebox for the firewall installed. I checked all the settings on there and there appears to be no type of restrictions on which computer has what IP address and it is not handling DHCP.

Any thoughts or ideas are appreciated. Thank you!

Do you have enough licenses?
If you have 15 licenses the first 15 devices on the LAN that try to connect to the Internet will have their MAC addresses recorded and be allowed access, the 16th will be denied. This can be reset by rebooting the router, but again only the first 15 devices that try to connect will be allowed internet access.
