Question : Is there an easy way to test if my static IP is working?
I need to set up a VPN, using the following configuration: WAN (static IP) --> SMC cable modem --> 3COM OfficeConnect VPN Firewall (3CREVF100-73) --> LAN.
I would like to test first, if the static IP is routing correctly to the cable modem.
Is there a simple way of doing this?

You needs to allow icmp packets 'echo-request' in advanced settings of win. firewall.
