Question : ISA server as Proxy and SMTP gateway with1 NIC

Hi There,
Could anyone confirm that I want to use an ISA server for Proxy and SMTP gateway services where it will be behind another Cisco firewall? What is the best way to configure this where it has only one NIC. I want to restrict all outbound traffic to windows and sophos update sites and server will relay incoming emails to restricted range of external SMTP servers.

Answer : ISA server as Proxy and SMTP gateway with1 NIC

Here are 2 links that could help you figure out what's best for your environnement; but I would really recommend using 2 NICs if your server will act as Proxy AND smtp relay, for security and performance.
