Question : How do I access the settings of Linksys WRT160N when it's acting like an access point?

I am helping out some friends.  They have a Comcast business-class modem that has a built-in router.  They've connected a Linksys WRT160N to it and it seems to have automatically set itself up as an access point instead of a router.  On my Mac notebook, using "cat /etc/resolv.conf" reveals the DNS server 10.1.10.1.  On their Windows Vista notebook, using "ipconfig" reveals DNS server 192.168.1.1.  I manually set this to 10.1.10.1 and they're online.  I could just pack up and go get lunch, but there are two things bothering me.

1) If I leave it as is, anyone can hop on their wireless network.  How do I get into this router and set some security on it?  Normally in my limited experience, I just go to the gateway, but here the gateway address takes me to Comcast and not their router.

2) If I leave it as is, they will lose the ability to connect at home because I've defined the DNS instead of allowing it to obtain DNS automatically.

Ideas?

Typically you're going to need to plug directly into the Linksys box to be able to manage it. There are Remote Management/Wireless Management options but they're usually disabled by default. So if you use a cable and connect directly to it, then you should be able to go to that Gateway in your browser - which is probably 192.168.1.1.
