Question : J45 cable with no hub?

I was told I could run J45 between my 2 computers with no hub if I switched the proper wires. Is this possible, and if so, which wires do I switch?

Answer : J45 cable with no hub?

Yes this is true.

You have to swap the Rx(Recive) and Tx(Transmit) since the Tx on one computer must be conected to the Rx on the other. Vice versa. This is done in a Hub.

The easiest way is to go down to your local computer store an bye one. (They are quite common around here.)

This is a try of a Scheme...

Numbers equals 'slot/pin' in the RJ45 contact.
Letters symols the different cables.

Note: The RJ45 looks the same (Has the same 1to8 pins) in both ends. The sheme shows the lower RJ45 rotated 180 degrees. The snap in clip faced down all the time.
