The most of the commercial sites which manages more secured transactions will have the dedicated IP. Also the IP will be hidden behind DNS. So, The most of the people will not know IP. Even If they know they cant hack them.
Example for Shared IP.
X is the Commercial Big site. Y is the ordinary simple site.
Both are in the Same shared IP.
Here There is a chance for Y to know the IP of X is same of him.
Also Y will have access to the machine of that IP.
So He will try to hack that machine to get the critical informations of X.
This is the main reason why the commercial sites (like X) are going for Dedicated IP.
Sole purpose of this is Security and privacy
