Question : Installed XP on my Gateway Notebook and cannot access the internet

I reinstalled the complete OS for XP, Gateway MX-6450 Notebook.

When installing, I had the LAN wire plugged into it, we have Verizon FIOS. I could not connect so I called Verizon and they had me go through a process to see if the router was working right. They could not help me, but either the hardware that controls it accessing the internet or software that does is not working.

I am about ready to throw these two laptops in the river and may jump in there myself.

Are you sure you have all the Network Drivers installed? Were you connecting wirelessly?

do the ipconfig command and paste the results just like zvitam said in the very first post.
