Question : SMTP service issue.
SMTP service issue.
We have an SMTP server (which is not a mailserver) that has mail queue that gets filled. and I noticed if I restart the SMTP services some queues get sent, I hope they don;t get deleted when smtp is restarted.
This is windows 2000 server. I wonder what would be causing this. I thought it was that there is a destination domain blacklisted or some spam filtering, but the ISP doesn't have anything about that. So I am blaming the smtp service.
I am not sure on how to fix that?
Thanks
Answer : SMTP service issue.
Hi,
Emails won't get lost on a smtp restart.
Exactly what is causing this will be in the logs.
The reason I suggested mailenable is with it, we can get better logging.
