Question : Connect 2 Router

I have this configuration :

Cable Modem => Router => Hub => Computers

Cable Modem => Router => Hub => Computers

How to connect those two Router ??
I have 2 cable modem, router and hub for adding speed, because if I share only one cable modem with alot of computers it will slow down, that is why I bought 2 Cable modems, 2 Routers and 2 Hubs.

But I only want one server, so how to make sure that both router connect can communicate each other while each have their own separate internet connection sharing ?
Also I want all my network base is 192.168.100.xxx on both Routers.

Thank You

Answer : Connect 2 Router

I doubt you are too 'stupid' to get what we have said, but I'll list the simplest response to this in a step by step.

1.  Configure each router's WAN interface to connect to each ISP with the addresses they gave you.  (Router 1 to ISP 1, Router 2 to ISP 2)
2.  Configure router 1's LAN interface with an address of 192.168.100.1
3.  Configure router 2's LAN interface with an address of 192.168.100.2
4.  Configure 10 workstations using the following addresses:

192.168.100.10, - 192.168.100.20

5.  On each of those 10 workstations, configure the default gateway to be 192.168.100.1.  Configure the DNS to be either the address of your own internal DNS, to 192.168.100.1 or the DNS that ISP 1 gave you.  (Try them in order till it works).

6.  Configure the remaining 10 workstations for the following addresses:

192.168.100.10, - 192.168.100.20

7. On each of those 10 workstations, configure the default gateway to be 192.168.100.2.  Configure the DNS to be either the address of your own internal DNS, to 192.168.100.2 or the DNS that ISP 1 gave you.  (Try them in order till it works).

8.  Have egg nog.

Now, I'm not saying this is the *best* config.  I honestly think that setting up the split DHCP servers is still the best way to go (considering your situation), but it is the simplest, which seems to be what you are now asking for.

Good luck!
