Question : Guest account grayed out

Hi !

I have two XPs pros connected together with a hub. On my fileserver i have disabled the guest account (it is by default) and create another account (computer administrator) with the same login/pass as my administrator account on my second machine. I've shared (without simple file sharing) a couple of partitions with permissions set to all users (by default). Now, everyhting worked fine yesterday (i didn't have no login box since my login/pass were the same on both machines). Now i log this morning and there is a login box with the gest account by default and the username field is grayed out, meaning that i have to use the guest account. Problem is that even if i enabled the guest account with a password, it won't work ! I don't want to use the guest account, i want no login box like before, any idea ?

Thanks, this is kinda urgent !

Answer : Guest account grayed out

Try this:

Let Everyone's permissions apply to anonymous users as well:
     Click Start
     Click Run
In the Open box type SECPOL.MSC /S
     Navigate to Local Policies/Security Options.
Double click "Network Access:Let Everyone permissions apply to anonymous users"
     Click Enabled and click OK
