Question : Supernets
Hi
If one is connecting multiple sites and is designing an ip scheme should we now be considering only a supernet instead of the traditional different subnet ranges and if so why?
ie
supernet for multiple sites could be 172.16.31.0/20
or
172.16.31.0/24 for first site
172.16.32.0/24 for second site
172.16.33.0/24 for second site
etc
etc
etc
Answer : Supernets
You shouldn't worry about gap's, unless you planing to have a huge amount of networks (lets say, if you thinking about less than 60000 different networks, you can keep segmenting them into /24 and you should be fine)
