Question : AT&T ruined my network settings, anything I can do to fix it?
Have a company laptop that an executive took home. He installed his home network AT&T software to try to get online (which of course he didn't need to do) and now the computer is messed up. Well it works, but the network is messed up.
Basically it can no longer resolve some name servers. We have multiple servers at work, and the 2003 server (which happen to be our exchange and main file server) he can no longer see. Pinging them from his computer also gets the same message that it cannot find this server. Using the IP address works just fine on the other hand.
Also, it messed up the VPN, so it connects the disconnects right away.
Any idea on how to fix this? I've already uninstalled the AT&T software, as well as reinstalled the network drivers and VPN, with no fix. It's something that AT&T software changed in windows, but I don't know what!
Thanks!

One quick try that doesn't take much time and solves many issues...remove the system from the domain, rename it and join it back.
