Question : DNS and DHCP high availability.

we have one DNS server and one DHCP server and they are in 2 separate W2K3 servers machines.
I am planning to have them both in one machine, but  built another machine for high availability, I mean if one goes down the other one will service DNS and DHCP.

I would like to know if there is any idea on how to configure and make this high availability happen.

Thanks

Answer : DNS and DHCP high availability.

They will regardless. If the DHCP Server they're currently leasing from doesn't respond to their broadcasted request for an address they'll get an address from the other.

But yes, we should certainly ensure that the scope is big enough to service all clients on each server. However, with so many possible addresses that shouldn't be a problem.
