Question : How does  Wireless Signal works?

Hi guys,

I have one Access Point with high gain antenna as the getaway and my laptop with wireless as the receiver. I have a question, is it right that it needs 2 way signal from both my AP and laptop wireless to get connected? So even my AP could give good signal with the high gain antenna, but if my laptop wireless could not reach my AP that won't work? Thanks.

Not only you're AP should have a 200 meter range coverage, but also your laptop.. And, indeed, ofcourse you'll be able to test the signal, like macentrap said.

You can use Network Stumbler for testing and checking your signal strenght. Just start at you AP and check how far you can walk from the AP with a good signal.
