Question : Exceed software Connectivity

We use software called Exceed to locally connect to our AIX box. Yesterday, our Internet connection was down. During that time, Exceed 2007 would not give users their usual xlogin box (I had to set-up telnet as a workaround). Users of Exceed 7.0 received their ususl xlogin box. When the Internect connection was restored, the Excced 2007 users got their usual xlogin box. What configuration error have I made that would cause this issue?

Answer : Exceed software Connectivity

It might have somthing to do with multicast/broadcast. That is used to find XDMCP servers (unless it is a targeted message). There might be a difference if a different version of the OS is in play.
But then again I haven't realy used windows byond Windows 2000 and stopped managing and for the most part also using windows systems a few years ago.
