I guess I shouldn't have closed it so soon.
A firmware update casued it to be unreachable via IP adress.
I am able to see the unit functioning via a null modem cable and the output result are attached as a txt file.
So, it's "alive".
I had tried to follow instructions on using TFTP to re-flash the fiirmare. It simply isn't working. I can check Windows Firewall to see if port 69 is open I suppose.
Anyway, the WAP appears to be OK. I can login to the unit and it doesn't reboot, etc...
Ideally, I'd just like to be able to assign it an IP via command line within HyperTerminal.
Is this possible?
If not- what else can I do?
Answer : Trouble acessing NetGear WAP with TFTP - OK in HyperTerminal
I was able to resolve the issue.
The firmware used a different default IP address. It used 192.168.0.230 as opposed to 192.168.0.228
So, I no longer have a problem with this.
