Question : Can bluetooth talk to Wireless 802.11b cards?

I would like to know whether my bluetooth mobile phone and bluetooth pda can talk to my PC which I shortly intend to purchase a wireless pci 802.11b network card.

I have just bought a bluetooth adaptor so that my PC can talk to my phone and pda, but was wondering whether this is a waste and I should return it, and instead get a wireless network card (as bluetooth and 802.11b work on the same 2.4ghz frequency) as I was going to network up some pcs at home anyway.

Your bluetooth phone, PDA can talk to your PC if you still have your bluetooth PC card or USB adapter.  Bluetooth and 802.11 are incompatible protocols, so DO NOT expect them to communicate.

If you have a desktop PC, then a bluetooth USB adapter would serve you better.  See billionton (www.billionton.com.tw)
