Question : Spanning Tree and Root Bridge etc
Please examine the diagram shown in the attached file.
Based on the diagram It is my understanding that since all 3 switches show Default Bridge Priority - 32768, one as to look at the MAC address in order to tell which switch will be the Root Bridge, so base on that:
Switch B is the Root Bridge, (lowest MAC address) and its fa0/0 and fa0/1 will be forwarding ports - FD
Switch A has 2nd Lowest MAC address will have its Fa0/0 as the Root Port in forwarding state (FD), and its fa0/1 will also be FD
Switch A with lowest MAC address will have its Fa0/0 as a FD and Fa0/1 as the Blocking Port& Switch B port Fa0/1 will be the blocking port in this case because it will take it the highest cost to get to the root bridge if the path is to Switch A and then to Switch B
Is this correct? If not please provide your analysis of this sample, and more importantly WHY ?
Answer : Spanning Tree and Root Bridge etc
this is correct
good luck with the exam
