Question : Given a new IP Address but with running dcdiag it points to the old IP address
I am working on a exchange server installation and when I run the DCDiag i keep getting the message that the old IP adderess is being resolved (1.22) even though I have changed it to a new IP Address. couple some please help me resolve this issue, I need to make sure I have no errors before proceeding with the exchange testing and install.
Doing initial required tests
Testing server: Default-First-Site-Name\do
maincontol
lername
Starting test: Connectivity
Although the Guid DNS name
(2173c91b-8d66-46d5-aedf-5
900d4bc32b
f._msdcs.S
EATTLE.COM
) resolved
to the IP address (xx.xxx.1.22), which could not be pinged, the
server name (Domaincontoller.SEATTLE.C
OM) resolved to the IP address
(xx.xxx.1.21) and could be pinged. Check that the IP address is
registered correctly with the DNS server.
......................... domaincontroller failed test Connectivity
I mistakenly used the same IP Address of the 2nd NIC card on the DomainContoller and I changed it to 1.166 but when I run the dcdiag it get the error above which is still referencing the 2nd NIC in the domain controller how can I fix the above error.
Thanks
