Question : Delete an Exchange mailbox for an AD user account AFTER AN EXCHANGE CRASH WITHOUT BACKUP !!!
|
|
Hi.
I've lost everything in my exchange 2000 organization, as my server failed and my backup could not be restored .....
My AD users still have a mailbox in their properties. If I try to delete it, AD connects to my organization, but it can't delete them because the server is no more available.
I want to delete the mailboxes of these users in their properties without having to recreate them all !!! If I remove the organization from the AD, will it delete the mailbox attributes of the users ? Any other idea ?
it's URGENT, THANK YOU !!!!

To remove the server from Active Directory, start Exchange System Manager and select the server object. Right-click the object, click All Tasks, and then click Remove Server. This will remove all references to the server in Active Directory, and remove the mailbox-enabling attributes from all Active Directory users with mailboxes on the removed server...... http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;260378
