Question : Backscatterer Blocking our Domain (Domino 8.0.2)
Hello,
we keep getting block by Backscatterer and this seems to be causing us trouble. We are unable to send out emails to some customers/suppliers.
This is the info that keeps cumming up:
This IP IS CURRENTLY LISTED in our Database.
Please note that this listing does not mean you are a spammer, it means your mailsystem is either poorly configured or it is using abusive techniques.
If you don't know what BACKSCATTER or Sender Callouts are, click the links above to get clue how to stop that kind of abuse.
To track down what happened investigate your smtplogs at 2009/07/05 15:54 German time:
You will either find that your system tried to send bounces to claimed but in reality faked senders, or your system tried sender verify callouts against our members at that time.
PLEASE NOTE: Timezone of all informations displayed is Germany
A total of 2 Impacts were seen during this listing. Last was 2009/07/05 15:54
Earliest date this IP can expire is 2009/08/02.
History:2007/10/03 21:31 listed
2007/11/17 20:20 expired
2009/02/27 14:07 listed
2009/03/28 22:05 expired
2009/04/22 22:55 listed
2009/05/29 14:09 expired

This is pretty much what they say "You will either find that your system tried to send bounces to claimed but in reality faked senders, or your system tried sender verify callouts against our members at that time." ! How can I verify if my Domino server is causing these issues.
