Question : trying to manually demote a dc

I have a domain controller that I want to manually demote. I am following the instructions in kb http://support.microsoft.com/kb/216498 however the dc are not replicating and the instructions call for me to ensure replication is successful before removing the dc. Any thoughts, I am running windows 2003 sp 2.

Usually the server you are running metadata cleanup on is dead or can't replicate so that is normal.

Make sure you are at a good DC (not the one you are trying to delete)
