Question : Parallel Data Transfer Cable Vs Ethernet Crossover Cable

While connecting TWO computers,whats the difference in speed like between a Parallel Data Transfer Cable and Ethernet Crossover Cable?
Which one would be a better option?
My guess is CrossOver should be a better option.

ethernet connections will always be a hek of a lot faster than parallel port connections. In your case, you can connect both with a crossover cable, and the only thing you have to make sure is that both computers have identical workgroup names, unique computer names, and an IP address with the same network address and different host ID (e.g. 192.168.0.100 and 192.168.0.150). With a parallel port, you will have to setup direct cable connection, depending on the OS you are running. Crossover cable is the best way to go.
