Question : Can't browse LAN when connected to SnapGear PPTP Server (VPN)

Hey All,

Just got a new SnapGear Lite2 and set it up as a VPN PPTP Server.  I can connect using MS PPTP client, but that's about it - I can't see my LAN on the remote PC.  I can ping the workstations, but can't view or connect to shares.  

Any ideas?

you have to tell your vpn clients about either a WINS or DNS server in the network you are connection to as router (& vpn server) don't route broadcast traffic.  when you go to browse network places (i'm assuming you are windows user here) that is sends you broadcast messages looking for all the local machines.

as a test you can go start-run-> \\xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (IP address here) of a machine that you want to connect to.
