Question : Remote server port forwarding...
|
|
Hey all,
Basically i have my regular computer at home that is behind a NAT. I don't have access to the network settings because its for my apartment community, but i may have access to a dedicated server outside the network. Is there anyway i can listen on ports on my home computer??? Here's the plan if there's a software for it... i try to connect to my computer using xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:2222, this takes me to my dedicated server that is somehow always connected to my computer. The server forwards the request to my computer and then am in.
Or better still, does anybody offer a service like that?? to minimize cost & maintanance....
Thanks

You can use a 3rd party application like GoToMyPC. It doesn't require any port forwarding in order to work. It will allow you to do everything that you want.
