Question : BEA mobility server benefits

I'm about to develop a web application for a PDA. I just had a look at BEA mobility server and wounder what is the gain of this server compared to a simple weblogic server?

I don't understand what is the actual gain...

Answer : BEA mobility server benefits

For example it provides libraries and tools to tailor code for several mobile devices. You do not need to write specific code for all of them, you just declare the target devices and you let the tool do the rest. If you do not use the mobility server then you will have to check each device and generate specific code for each one of them.

Basically the biggest advantage is that it abstracts many of the low-level stuff that you need to do when you implement mobile applications.
