Question : Does the Cisco 2960G Series switches support Layer 3 capability?

It is not called out in the switch documentation and I do not see IP routing commands for it either.  A coworker believes that it is supported...so I thought I would ask.

If not, does anyone have a suggestion of a 1U, 48 port, Layer2/3, affordable, Cisco switch?

No, but the Cisco Catalyst 2948G-L3 is a layer 3 Switch and is only 1.5U and is around $1000 - $2000
