Hi there, I'm trying to connect to a Sonicwall PRO 100 with Sonicwall Global VPN client 2.2.0.131. I'm looking through the documentation but I just need some help with the basics. What steps do I need to take to connect this vpn connection?

The *new* Sonicwall GVPN client creates a "Virtual Adapter" in your network stack (do an ipconfig /all and you'll see it alongside your LAN, WIFi (etc) adapters). This *has* to be given an IP address on the LAN that you're trying to VPN in to.
This can be done by DHCP *but* you have to make sure the Sonicwall is configiured to allow that, by default i tisn't.
This is annoyingly NOT made clear in the Sonic docs.
(With the older safenet VPN client Sonic used to supply, you didn't have to have a LAN-side IP address, there was no virtual adapter, the Sonicwall would just set up a static-route to your actual external IP addres via the tunnel.)
