I was using my computer normally last night, surfing the net with no problem. Turned it on this morning and it said "Limited or no connectivity" (it was no connectivity) because it couldn't renew the IP address.
First I checked all the connections for the wires in my network, then I verified that the network still worked with another computer on the same hub, then I verified the wireless network worked with a wireless connection using my laptop. I cycled the power for all components. Swapped PCI slots with my card, replaced my card, reinstalled my card, completely removed from system and reinstalled my card forceably.
I went out to the store and bought a wireless card and installed it. It recognizes the wireless network signal with an Excellent quality rating, but fails in the same "couldn't renew IP address" manner. I'm at my wit's end here, I've tried everything short of reformatting my computer.
What should I do? I'm putting all my points on it, please, experts help!!!
