Question : private IP ranges

Are these the only private IP ranges I can use on my LAN:

A.   10.0.0.0 - 10.255.255.255
B.   172.16.0.0 - 172.31.255.255
C.   192.168.0.0 - 192.168.255.255

I would like to change my local IP range from the defaults provided by my hardware manufacturer.

Are there any other things I should consider when selecting my LAN IP range?

Are there any advantages and/or disadvantages to selecting one range over another (besides total number of addresses available for DHCP)?

Thanks
OB

Answer : private IP ranges

That is a good idea. I would choose a random number a use a network range such as 10.35.1.0/255.255.255.0.
Note that you are not using the default class A netmask of 255.0.0.0. There is no need to and if you get other offices etc... in the future you can use 10.35.2.0/255.255.255.0 for it.
That way you have a very small chance of clashing with someone else while still leaving plenty of scope for expansion.
