i assigned ip for a windows machine and added route but gateway is not pinging ..please help me in this !

There is no RDP support in NT4.0. There was similar functionality for NT4 through SMS. It is however possible to install third party apps such as VNC to get remote control of NT4.

VIC is installed on a pc in the same external subnet?
