Question : remote dekstop to Vista from outside LAN doesn't work

After upgraging to Windows Vista, I cannot get a remote dekstop connection to my computer once I am outside my firewall (outside my LAN). I am able to use remote dekstop fine from within my network. There seems to be another setting that is not allowing traffic from outisde the LAN to access the computer via remote desktop, but I don't know where or what it is.

Answer : remote dekstop to Vista from outside LAN doesn't work

try typing this from a command prompt, both inside and outside:

telnet *IP of VISTA machine* 3389

and see if the screen goes blank. If it does, you have a connection on the RDP port - if not, there is a network problem or firewall somewhere blocking it
