Question : auditing Messenger Service via Group Policy.

I am trying to see the status of the messenger service on systems across the network. Please help out.
I have SCCM 2007 and Operations Manager 2007 as well. Not sure if i can use these. Kindly suggest solutions or tools  and procedures I can use.

I found a script to stop services at http://www.microsoft.com/technet/scriptcenter/scripts/message/default.mspx?mfr=true and I deployed it using SCCM.
