Question : DHCP client service won't start
|
|
This was what popp-ed up from the dialog box after I attempt to start it manually through services.smc
"Could not start the DHCP client service on Local Computer. Error 1059: Circular service dependency was specified"
I've tried delete the dependencies on registry but still to no avail. This is very frustrating as I had to manually configure my IP Address and Subnet Mask everytime I change my ISP(which is, of course, not frequent, but still =S).
If anyone can help, well I iono what I can offer besides points lol, help please. :D

Try removing and reinstalling DHCP. It could an error that resides with this particular service. Check out http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=169229 ticket for How to Remove and Reinstall DHCP and Keep the DHCP Configuration. If you can provide anymore information about this particular problem post back and I will be happy to help (if I can!). Good luck.
Kindest Regards, Chris
