Question : RV042 and quickvpn

Hi,

After my question for an alternative VPN router i've bought an Linksys RV042 (next time I will give my answer an A grade!!)
The setup was easy
Now i'm trying to setup a vpn with the quickvpn client .
When connecting the state of the connection is as follows
connecting-activating-verifying network
After that "the remote gateway is not responding, You will be disconnected."

In the log  of the RV042 there is "connection refused-policy violation

My client lan is 10.0.0.x
My RV042 lan is 10.0.1.x

Can someone help me with this

I also didn't notice this a minute ago; "when I ping the external router address(192.168.1.1) "
Which end is this the client or the RV042? If either router has a private IP (192.168.x.x, 10.x.x.x or 172.16-31.x.x) assigned to the WAN/external/Internet side it means the modem is performing NAT (Network Address Translation). The QuickVPN will not work in this situation. The modem will have to be changed from NAT mode to Bridge mode and the router configured with the public IP information. If this is the case and you would like a hand configuring, please advise of the type of connection you have, static, dynamic, PPPoE or PPPoA and the make and model of the router. Do not publish your public/Internet IP address here, for security reasons, or at least not the last 2 octets.
