Question : UDP port 135 security issues (see northrup)

I'm trying to secure my network.  I've found that telnetting to port135 on an NT machine, typing in 20 random characters and disconnecting can cause the cpu load of server to go to 100%. This concerns me.

? How do I stop access to 135? through TCP/IP Advanced settings? If so, which other ports need to be denied access?  Can I set a range of ports to be denied?  Which ports need to stay active for ftp/www/gopher/smtp/pop/pop3 servers?

Really need help on this one.
